The Committee on Parliamentary Business yesterday decided sittings will be held this week but with random testing of staff and parliamentarians for possible COVID-19 infections.
The decision was taken during the committee meeting held yesterday by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The Sergeant-at-Arms has said random PCR testing will be carried out within the Parliament premises from 9 a.m. to 12 noon today and that facilities have been provided for MPs to also participate in this program.
