One COVID-19 death brings fatalities to 552

The death of an individual from Jaffna earlier this week brought the country’s COVID-19 fatalities to 552 yesterday.

According to the Department of Government Information, the individual was 63-years-old and died while receiving treatment at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital on Monday. The cause of death is cited as breathing difficulties, cough, diarrhoea, and COVID pneumonia.
