First-time MPs wound up their two-day orientation program yesterday with the sessions held to familiarise them with the use of the electronic voting system in the Legislature.
A mock vote was conducted as part of the Orientation Seminar in Parliament, which was conducted to introduce Parliamentary affairs to the newly-elected members of the Ninth Parliament.
Almost all first-time lawmakers participated in the program, with the Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake and the Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General Neil Iddawela in attendance.
