New Chief of UNHCR Mission in Delhi calls on High Commissioner of Sri Lanka

New Chief of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Mission in New Delhi Oscar Mundia paid a courtesy call on Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Austin Fernando on 6 September. Mundia assumed office as the UNHCR Chief of Mission in India recently.

High Commissioner Fernando warmly welcomed the new UNHCR Chief of Mission and wished him success in the office to which he has just been appointed. During the courtesy call, the new UNHCR Chief of Mission and the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka discussed on a range of issues pertaining to refugees.  Mundia has joined the UNHCR in 1993, and served in the field as well as UNHCR Headquarters in Geneva in various 

capacities.
