A three-member delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Public Administration and Management and Law and Order Nalin Bandara visited Russia to participate at the 22nd International Homeland Security Exhibition ‘Interpolitex 2018’ held from 23-26 October in Moscow, Russian Federation.
On 23 October, Nalin Bandara and delegation participated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition which was inaugurated by Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation V. Kolokoltsev.
The Exhibition is organised by the Russian Federation Ministry of Internal Affairs, Russian Federal Security Service, Federal Service of National Guard of the Russian Federation with the Exhibition Companies Group ‘BIZON’ acting in the capacity of the organiser of the event.
During the exhibition Bandara met with the Head of the Department of International Police Cooperation of Russia and discussed the matters of international cooperation in public and state security spheres.
At the exhibition, the exhibitors demonstrated to Bandara, the most modern and advanced technologies and equipment used by law enforcement authorities.
On 23 October, the visiting delegation attended a dinner hosted by the First Secretary of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow, which was also attended by Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation Dr. Dayan Jayatilleka, with Sanja Jayatilleka and other Embassy officials.
