Amidst the energy crisis, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) yesterday requested the public to use tap water sparingly.
Issuing a notice, the NWSDB said the request has been made due to the water level of reservoirs running low, as a result of the prevailing drought condition in the country.
The Board also said that people living in highland areas will have to be supplied water under low pressure. It added that this was in order to meet the demands for drinking water.
