President Maithripala Sirisena’s former Chief of Staff K. Mahanama and former State Timber Corporation (STC) Chairman P. Dissanayaka were yesterday ordered to be further remanded.
They were yesterday ordered by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court to be further remanded till 24 July over a bribery case.
Mahanama and Dissanayaka had been arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs. 20 million over a land deal.
They were arrested at the car park of a Colombo hotel while accepting the bribe from an Indian businessman. (Colombo Gazette)
