Kamal Ratwatte

Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau Chairman Kamal Ratwatte has passed away at a private hospital in Colombo on Saturday and was cremated at the Borella Cemetery.

He was 61 years old at the time of his death.

Ratwatte had previously held positions of Deputy Chairman of the Airport and Aviation Services Authority and Working Director of the former National Insurance Corporation. He was also a former Basnayake Nilame of the Sri Sumana Saman Dewalaya in Ratnapura.

Kamal Ratwatte was the son of Mallika and Cliford Ratwatte, and brother of former Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa paid his last respects to Ratwatte yesterday.
