Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe will brief Members of the Parliament on the 21st Amendment to the Constitution tomorrow (Thursday).
“The 21st Amendment to the Constitution was not discussed at this week’s Cabinet meeting and it will be taken up for discussion next week,” Cabinet Co-Spokesman and Minister Bandula Gunawardena told journalists at the post-Cabinet meeting media briefing yesterday.
However, he said the Justice Minister briefed the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the proposed amendments during a meeting with the multi-party non-partisan Government MPs.
He said the right to live and right to personal liberty will be included in the proposed 21st Amendment to the Constitution.
