Former Minister Johnston who surrendered before the Fort Magistrate yesterday was released on two personal bails of Rs. 10 million each.
The Magistrate also ordered that those applying to provide bail should submit the certificate of the Grama Niladhari to confirm their residence.
Fernando was wanted in connection with 9 May violence which created mayhem afterwards. Fernando surrendered to Fort magistrate Thilina Gamage after an ultimatum was issued.
Fernando was banned from traveling abroad and was ordered to produce his passport in court.
