110 students of the Shishuvan School in Mumbai visited the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai recently for an interactive session on Sri Lanka for their school project.
‘Mahindagamanaya’, the advent of Buddhism in Sri Lanka was enacted by the students. The program included a country presentation and the Sri Lankan traditional game ‘Spot the Elephant’s Eye’. The students were entertained with popular Sinhala children’s music and were gifted books by the famous Sri Lankan author Sybil Wettasinghe.
The program which was conducted for the fourth time was a platform to increase deeper understanding between the two countries and disseminate cultural knowledge on Sri Lanka.
