The Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSSSL), affiliated to the Ministry of Defence, together with the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies (NESA), will be holding a two-day strategic forum under the theme ‘Meeting the Challenges of Extremism by Advancing Human Security Centred Policies’.

The forum will be held on 6 and 7 September at the INSSSL premises located on the 8th floor, Suhurupaya, Battaramulla. The event will be graced by Additional Secretary of Defence Sarath Kumara along with a high-level US delegation, senior military officials and academics representing the South Asian region.

The two-day event is another one from a series of events organised by INSSSL as Sri Lanka’s premier national security think tank in collaboration with reputable international think tanks relating to national security. The strategic forum is organised under the guidance of INSSSL Director General Asanga Abeygoonasekara and Dr. Roger Kangas of NESA.
