Pavithra Wanniarachchi yesterday assumed duties as Health Minister, a portfolio she held previously as well.
Speaking at the ceremony, she said that the country acted very responsibly to contain the spread of COVID-19.
“I believe that we acted as an example to South Asia and, in some instances, the entire world,” she said, adding that having faced the challenge of COVID-19, the Government can overcome any other challenges.
