Deputy Leader of the UNP and Minister of Housing and Construction, Sajith Premadasa, says the Government’s aim is to strengthen the economy by creating new income sources through the Gam Udawa and Gamperaliya programs.
The Minister said this at a function held to declare open Sinhanada Gama in Ambanpola in the Kurunegala District yesterday.
This is the 78th model village vested with the public under the ‘Semata Sevana Yali Pibidena Uda Gammana’ program. The village of Sinhanada Gama comprises 25 homes built at a cost of Rs. 33.1 million. The model village consists of all infrastructure facilities including water and electricity facilities, internal roads and access roads.
Parallel to the opening, a number of programs were implemented including the distribution of residential housing loans.
