Govt. limits operation hours of wine stores

The Government has decided to close all wine stores and liquor shops by 6 p.m. daily until further notice, Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva said yesterday.

According to the Army Commander, the move came into effect from yesterday. 

This was in addition to the health guidelines issued on 6 May for all excise licensees in the country including bars, pubs and restaurants serving liquor.
