German Federal Foreign Ministry‘s Director Indo-Pacific Policy, South Asia and Afghanistan Ambassador Erik Kurzweil is scheduled to pay an official visit to Sri Lanka from 22nd to 25th March 2023.
Ambassador Kurzweil, together with German Ambassador Holger Seubert and Deputy Head of Mission Olaf Malchow, will conduct political discussions and consultations with senior members from the Government.
He will also hold several meetings with representatives of the Opposition, think tanks, civil society, press, German companies in Sri Lanka and other stakeholders. The discussions will be focused on strengthening ties between the two countries in all spheres, especially as the two countries celebrate the milestone of 70 years of diplomatic relations this year.
Ambassador Kurzweil will also pay a visit to the recently launched Hatch Makerstudio, a community workspace which provides access to state-of-the-art digital technology and equipment to encourage start-ups and innovations. The Makerstudio was financed by the German Federal Government.
