The National Gem and Jewellery Authority plans to create a national database of jewellery designers, artisans, and manufacturers, with the aim of streamlining proposed assistance, relief packages, and industry support.

The Authority requests all artisans, technicians, designers, and manufacturers of jewellery in the island to contact their respective Grama Niladharis and District Secretaries, to authorise a survey form which will be used to create the database.

The survey form can be downloaded from https://tinyurl.com/y8gctoup. The form should be sent to the Gem and Jewellery Authority by 15 September. The Authority advises those who have registered with them previously to reregister for the new database.
