Pro-Rajapaksa MP Udaya Gammanpilla has flagged off alleged involvement of the US’ CIA and the UK’s M16 in Sri Lanka’s political crisis.
“We fought against foreign intelligence agencies such as the CIA and MI6,” Gammanpilla has claimed in comments to the UK’s The Guardian.
“We knew it was a tough battle. Foreign diplomats cheered in Parliament when the Speaker pronounced that we did not have a majority. All of them can sleep well now,” he was quoted as saying.
