Former Prime Minister and veteran politician D.M. Jayaratne has passed away at the age of 88 at a private hospital in Kandy.
Jayaratne served as the 14th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka from 2010 to 2015 in the Government of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
