Former Navy Spokesman arrested for abduction of youths remanded till 22 Dec.

 Former Naval Media Spokesperson Commodore DKP Dassanayake arrested for the abduction of 11 youths has been remanded till 22 December.

Colombo Fort Magistrate court ordered to further remand the former Navy officer and six other suspects when they were produced before the Court yesterday as the case was called before the acting magistrate.

The Criminal Investigation Department arrested Dassanayake on July 12 for aiding and abetting the abduction and disappearance of 11 youth in 2008 and 2009.

Five others including three other naval officers were also arrested in March this year in connection with the abduction of the youth including six international school students and five university students.
