Foreign Ministry participates at the ’Rajya Sewaya Gamata Gena Yana Janatha Sewaya’ Program

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated at the first 'Rajya Sewaya Gamata Gena Yana Janatha Sewaya' national program, held in Matale on 1 June 2019 and conducted a consular mobile service, at the premises of the Matale Sri Sangamitta Balika National School.

The "Rajya Sewaya Gamata Gena Yana Janatha Sewaya" program which was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, was coordinated by the Ministry of Internal and Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government under guidance of Minister Vajira Abeywardena.

The consular mobile service by the Foreign Ministry was conducted in coordination with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.

Services extended to the general public of the Matale district by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included, attestation of documents to be submitted to foreign entities; assistance for repatriation of stranded Sri Lankans; information on birth, marriage and death registration of Sri Lankan expatriates at Sri Lankan Missions abroad; assistance for recovering salary dues, compensation, and insurance dues of Sri Lankan migrants and procedures to dispatch human remains of nationals who have passed away overseas.
