The first international conference on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy in Sri Lanka will be held on 21 January from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Waters Edge Battaramulla.
Several Government, international and private sector organisations are collaborating with National Cleaner Production Centre, Sri Lanka in this endeavour.
Circular Economy is the novel business model adopted by Japan in the name of 3R economy, China in terms of Circular Economy as well as by EU as the Circular Economy Declaration 2015.The purpose of the conference is to introduce the topic to the country effectively. The effort is to catalyse the novel business initiatives as well as to advocate the industries and policymakers to adopt this as an urgent need.
The Conference will create an impact among masses through passing the international knowledge and updates on this topic. Leading experts from international organisations such as UNIDO, practitioners from EU and India will make presentations.
