The Asia-Pacific Regional Annual Symposium on Express Mail Service (EMS), which was scheduled to be held in Colombo this year and was postponed due to the Easter Sunday terror attacks, will be held here next year.
Cabinet gave approval to hold the EMS Symposium of the International Express Mail Service in 2020 on a proposal made by the Minister of Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs M. H. A. Haleem.
This year’s conference, which was scheduled to be held on 29 April, was moved to another country after the terror attacks, following which Minister Haleem sought Cabinet to hold the annual Symposium in Sri Lanka next year.
