The Sri Lanka Customs officials have recovered a stockpile of foreign currency subtly hidden in the luggage of seven passengers who arrived at the departure terminal at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake over the weekend to travel to Dubai on board SriLankan Airlines flight UL-225 bound for Dubai. The raid was carried out by officers of the Narcotics Division of the Sri Lanka Customs.
The currency consisted of dollars, euros and sterling pounds worth over Rs. 65 million.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Narcotics Division of the Sri Lanka Customs.
