The Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith yesterday urged all Sri Lankans to observe two minutes of silence at 8:45 a.m. on 21 April (tomorrow) to commemorate the victims of the Easter Sunday terror attacks two years ago.
He also called for maximum security to be provided for churches on 21 April as several churches are expected to hold special services tomorrow to commemorate those who died in the Easter attacks.
The Cardinal also said Catholic schools that are governed by the Catholic Church will be closed tomorrow (21) in view of the second anniversary of the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the Police Headquarters have informed the respective Police stations to provide special security for the churches islandwide.
