COVID-19 fatalities rise to 484 with one death

One COVID-19 death occurred yesterday at the Colombo East Base Hospital, bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities in the island to 484.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Government Information, the individual was from Eravur and tested positive for COVID-19 at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital. She was then transferred to the Colombo East Base Hospital, where she died of blood poisoning and COVID pneumonia.
