The country’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,147 with 48 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed by health officials on Sunday.
Of the fatalities, 30 were male and 18 were female. The majority of COVID-19 deaths in the country have been male, with 2,411 fatalities male and the remaining 1,736 fatalities female.
According to the Department of Government Information, the 48 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday included 36 persons above the age of 60 and 12 persons between ages 30 and 59. The Epidemiology Unit stated that 75.21% of all fatalities were above the age of 60, while 23.49% were between ages 30 and 59 and 1.29% were below the age of 30.
