The Committee on Public Enterprise (COPE) has directed to summon several State institutions today.
COPE is scheduled to meet today under the Chairmanship of Prof. Ranjith Bandara. The officials of the Central Cultural Fund (CCF) and Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation (SLECIC) have been summoned before the Committee today.
Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) has been called before the COPE committee tomorrow, and the Land Reform Commission (LRC) has been summoned on 9 March.
The Parliamentary Communication Department noted that this week’s Parliamentary session is scheduled to commence at 9.30 a.m. today (7) and the orders contained in several gazettes issued under the Motor Vehicles Act will be taken up during the sessions.
It also added that the laws mentioned in the Gazette issued by the President under the Essential Public Service Act are scheduled to be adopted without debate.
