Avurudu celebrations in Melbourne

Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Australia Somasundaram Skandakumar with Federal MP for Bruce Julian Hill and Victorian State Parliament Labour MP Gabrielle Williams at the Sri Lanka-German Technical Training Institute Old Boys Association of Australia’s Sinhala-Tamil New Year celebration at Dandenong Grounds in Melbourne. The event was attended by over 5,000 Sri Lankans. All three officials addressed the audience after a message from the President was read out in all three languages in which the President commended the organisers on their focus on multicultural harmony.
