Ambassador Rodney Perera meets President of Asia Foundation

Ambassador Rodney Perera met Asia Foundation President David Arnold at the Embassy on 26 June. Asia Foundation Senior Vice President and Director Nancy Yuan was also present.

Arnold briefed Ambassador Perera on programs conducted by the Asia Foundation in Sri Lanka starting in 1954 on urban governance; post-conflict development; projects on book donations and on Lanka-Corps Program, an exclusive program of providing opportunities for young professionals of Sri Lankan heritage to engage in social, cultural and economic activities in Sri Lanka.

While acknowledging the constructive engagement of the Asia Foundation in Sri Lanka, Ambassador Perera assured the assistance of the Embassy in Washington DC to the Asia Foundation in its endeavours in Sri Lanka.
