A group of children who had excelled at public exams was felicitated during a ceremony conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force recently.
According to Air Force media, 131 children of Air Force personnel and civilian employees of the SLAF were recognised and awarded financial grants during the ceremony held at the Air Force headquarters auditorium recently.
The ceremony, organised by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU), saw 129 children who had scored above 175 marks at the Grade 5 Scholarship exam and two students who had obtained three As at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in 2017 being presented with financial grants.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and Chairperson of the SLAF SVU Anoma Jayampathy.
