The country’s COVID-19 fatalities rose to 4,508 with 67 deaths confirmed by the Director General of Health Services on Saturday.
A majority of the deaths confirmed on Saturday were over age 60, with 56 deaths in this age category, 10 deaths in the 30 to 59 age category, and one death in the below 30 age category. The Epidemiology Unit states that 74.83% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are above 60 years, 23.94% are between ages 30 and 59, and 1.24% are below 30 years.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 2,625 fatalities are male and 1,883 fatalities are female. Of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday, 36 were male and 31 were female.
