Health officials confirmed 23 COVID-19 deaths on Sunday and the country’s total COVID-19 fatalities have risen to 13,354.
According to the Department of Government Information, the deaths of 18 persons over the age of 60 and five persons in the 30 to 59 age group were confirmed on Sunday. Zero deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.
Epidemiology Unit data shows that 76.53% of the total fatalities are from the over-60 age group, 22.31% of the fatalities are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.16% of the fatalities are from the under-30 age group.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 7,460 fatalities are male and 5,894 are female. Twelve COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Sunday were female and 11 were male.
The Epidemiology Unit adds that 79.4% of the COVID-19 deaths occurred in hospital, while 15.1% occurred at home and 5.4% occurred on admission.
