20 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials on Thursday confirmed 20 COVID-19 fatalities and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 14,419.

The COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Thursday include 14 persons over 60 years and six persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.51% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.32% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.17% of the fatalities are below 30 years.The Epidemiology Unit adds that 8,069 COVID-19 fatalities are male and 6,350 COVID-19 fatalities are female.

Eleven COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Thursday were female and nine were male.
