Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 13,892 with health officials confirming 17 more fatalities on Monday.
Fourteen fatalities confirmed on Monday were over the age of 60, two fatalities were between 30 and 59 years, and one was below 30 years. The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.45% of the country’s fatalities are from the over-60 age group, 22.38% of the fatalities are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.17% of the fatalities are from the under-30 age group.
Of the total fatalities, 7,756 are male and 6,136 are female. Ten deaths confirmed on Monday were male and seven were female.
