17-member delegation visits China, strengthens bilateral ties

At the invitation of the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU), a 17-member delegation composed of representatives and scholars from Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal and Sri Lanka, visited China and attended the seminar titled ‘Knowing about China and Enhancing People-to-People Exchanges and Understanding for Deepening into Good-Neighborly Friendship & Cooperation’’ in Beijing, a few days before the 18th Communist Party Congress.



Experts from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development gave briefings respectively about China, China’s economic system and the achievements of the reform and opening up and the development and poverty alleviation of China’s rural areas. The delegation also visited the Yunnan and Guangdong provinces.

The delegation members highly appreciated the design of the seminar itinerary, including the briefings with rich and interesting contents which have boosted their understanding about every aspect of China, and the successful choice of projects for visits have deepened their knowledge about the Chinese Government’s efforts in improving peoples’ livelihoods and building a harmonious society while developing the economy.
