Sixteen COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed by health officials on Tuesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 14,677.
The fatalities confirmed on Tuesday include 13 persons over 60 years and three persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Tuesday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.48% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.35% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, 1.17% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 8,226 are male and 6,451 are female. Eleven COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and five were female.
