COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 132,639 persons on Monday and 74.23% of the country’s population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to date.
Our World in Data states that 64.15% of the population has received the second dose as well.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 15,958,080 persons have received the first COVID-19 vaccine dose and 13,793,217 persons have received the second dose.
The third dose has been administered to 1,440,705 persons. This includes 127,697 persons vaccinated on Monday. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is being administered as the booster dose in Sri Lanka.
On Monday, the first dose of Pfizer was administered to 789 persons and the second dose was administered to 481 persons. In total, the first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 1,557,544 persons and 466,748 persons have received the second dose of Pfizer as well.
The first dose of Sinopharm has been administered to 11,956,994 persons and the second dose has been administered to 10,964,703 persons. On Monday, 853 persons received the first dose of Sinopharm and 2,819 persons received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,479,631 persons and the second dose has been administered to 1,418,593 persons.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 804,801 persons have received the first dose of Moderna and 787,361 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of Sputnik V has been administered to 159,110 persons and 155,812 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
