Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 14,884 after health officials confirmed 13 COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday.
The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday include nine persons over 60 years and four persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Saturday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.48% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.35% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.17% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,340 are male and 6,542 are female. Nine COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and four were female.
