125th birth anniversary of Dr. T.B. Jayah tomorrow

The 125th birth anniversary of educationist, statesman, diplomat and national hero, Al Haj Dr. T. B. Jayah, will be commemorated by Conference of Sri Lankan Malays (COSLAM) with a public meeting to be held on Sunday, 29 March at the New Town Hall, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, (Green Path) Colombo 7, commencing at 9:30 a.m. The Chief Guest at this function will be Indonesian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Harimawan Suyitno and University of Kelaniya Department of English Head Dr. Romola Rassool will deliver the Dr. T.B. Jayah Oration. This function will be held in conjunction with Hari Bahasa Melayu Hijri 1436 (Malay Language Day), a day dedicated to the preservation and development of the Malay Language in Sri Lanka.
