A total of 1,625 frontline workers yesterday received the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the ongoing COVID-19 immunisation campaign in the country.
While this is the lowest number of vaccinations administered in a day since the campaign began on 29 January, a total of 161,773 persons have received the vaccine to date. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 5,286 persons were vaccinated on 29 January, 32,539 persons were vaccinated on 30 January, and 21,329 persons were vaccinated on 31 January.
In addition to this, 36,396 persons were vaccinated on 1 February, 23,217 persons were vaccinated on 2 February, and 21,147 persons were vaccinated on 3 February.
However, only 6,413 persons received the vaccine on 4 February and 9,983 persons received the vaccine the following day.
The COVID-19 immunisation campaign will target 250,000 frontline workers from health, military and police units.
