Wasana Trading Lanka Ltd., the pioneers in introducing hybrid and electric vehicles to Sri Lanka moved to its new state-of-the art modern facility situated at No 312, Negombo Road, Nagoda, Kandana recently.
Dignitaries including ministers, heads of departments, customers and a large gathering of distinguished guests participated in the opening ceremony held under the patronage of Wasana Trading Lanka Ltd. Managing Directors Indika Sampath Merenchige, Asiri Dayan Merenchige and their mother Mary Selin Muhandiramge.
The modern facility has been constructed in a manner in which all requirements needed to purchase a vehicle could be fulfilled in a free environment under the same roof. Premier leasing and insurance companies too have established offices in the facility to render their services. Conference rooms, restaurants, play fields for children and many more facilities have been established at the new complex for the benefit and convenience of customers. This is the first time that such a modern vehicle yard with state-of-the-art amenities has been established in Sri Lanka. “We have taken steps to provide under one roof all facilities, so that customers can come with their family members spend their time freely and drive away in their dream vehicle. Not only that a museum that gives knowledge of old vehicles has been established in a one and a half acre land with many more attractive features in this modern facility. This could be termed as an exceptional vehicle complex that goes beyond a normal vehicle yards,” said Indika Sampath Merenchige.
Here the official handing over of the Aqua Hybrid car to the season six Derana Dream Star winner Janith Iddamalgoda by MD Sampath Merenchige also took place. Also the first transaction in the new complex took place under the patronage of Indika Sampath Merenchige, Asiri Dayan Merenchige and Mary Selin Muhandiramge.
A longstanding employee of the company John was also felicitated by presenting him a three-wheeler by Sampath Merenchige.
