In support of the President and the Government of Sri Lanka’s vision of safeguarding the environment, Hybrid Motors Lanka Ltd., took the initiative to launch the first Hybrid Engineering and Maintenance Centre in Sri Lanka. Aimed at delivering exacting quality service to Hybrid owners, the company recently announced a Toyota voluntary safety recall of over 2.7 million cars worldwide – some of which are in Sri Lanka.
Speaking on the necessity for Hybrid Car owners to be aware of such information, Eddie Lo, Chairman, Hybrid Motors Lanka explained, “Certain chassis numbers in Toyota Hybrid models ‘Prius 1.5’, ‘Estima Hybrid’ and ‘Alphard Hybrid’ have been recalled worldwide. As a function of a voluntary recall, customers who have bought vehicles in this range should contact us at Hybrid Motors Lanka in order to clarify the way forward.
“It is important to act now in order to safeguard yourself and your vehicle. As part of their duty of care and to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers, the Hybrid Motors Lanka Company asks all vehicle owners within the product range to contact them.
“At Hybrid Motors Lanka, we believe in the value of quick action and urge customers who drive a Hybrid to check their chassis number and production date. If they are unsure of how to do this, they can contact us and we will provide any necessary assistance. Our goal is to help in anyway we can.”
