Celebrated as the most awarded SUV, the Renault Duster continued its winning streak across India, where it is manufactured, with a total of 29 awards, since its launch in 2012.
Generating more than two-thirds of the renowned French carmaker’s sales in India, the Renault Duster is today one of the 15 best-selling models in the country and the No. 2 SUV in India.
Elaborating on the success of the brand in India, Marc Nassif, Director of Renault India was quoted in the media saying that “Renault India has received an unprecedented number of honours from the local media”, including being voted “Car Manufacturer of the Year”, while “Duster has been named Car of the Year by most Indian media. This is great recognition for a young brand in India like Renault.”
Highly valued for its design, comfort, safety and performance, the Renault Duster has created a new segment in the SUV market and has already won over more than 20,000 customers.
Significantly, Renault has become the country’s most applauded brand, for the quality of the Duster and Pulse within two years of their launch in the Indian market. The awards received include:

In addition to a compact SUV (Duster), Renault currently markets four other models in India – a premium sedan (Fluence), a luxury SUV (Koleos), a premium compact (Pulse) and a small sedan (Scala). Manufacturing takes place at a Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Oragadam, near Chennai, India.
