Nawaloka Petroleum starts countrywide operations

Nawaloka Petroleum Ltd., a company set up under the umbrella of Nawaloka Holdings to engage in the business of petroleum and allied products, is the sole importer/distributor of Total Oil India Ltd., a subsidiary of Total, France. The Chairman and Board of Directors of Nawaloka Petroleum comprise Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa and Harshith Dharmadasa, Anisha Dharmadasa and Ananda Jayasekara, who serve as Directors. Nawaloka Petroleum, which started operations in early 2011 mainly in the Western Province and selected cities in the island, is expanding to other geographies of the country and will launch in the north and east in the second quarter of 2015, thus embracing an islandwide operation. The company contributes in a big way to promote road racing and karting (through DPMC circuit), with a few riders running their machines with Elf motorcycle oils in the international circuits.
