The event co-sponsored by Nehemiah Consultants was attended by national cricketer Ajantha Mendis, renowned motorcyclist Shrian Samuel, motorcycle enthusiasts and others.
Commenting on the occasion Marshals MC Sri Lanka Founder President Rashmin Mahamudalige noted, “Marshals MC is a law abiding family oriented motorcycle club which brings together motorcycle enthusiasts and their families. It was created on the basic principal of riding and a love for motorcycles and with the belief that ‘United We Stand’. It is also a club where ‘respect, pride, integrity and guts’ are what each member of the club stands for.”
Globally motorcycle clubs have an illustrious history of over a century and have spread out to all parts of the world. The Marshals which originated in Australia similarly have chapters that cover all continents. Their core mission is to increase camaraderie between personnel and create a more positive view of motorcycle clubs in the world. As a close-knit club, their activities will involve meet-ups with members and families, tour and charity rides, and awareness campaigns on their machines and motorcycling in general.
The newly inaugurated members add, “Our hope is to change mindsets on motorcycle clubs. This is why it is imperative for us to act and conduct ourselves professionally at all times. We wear our colours with pride and our members are those with honour, who have an utmost value for charity, and brotherly allegiance. We ‘Ride With Pride’ and demonstrate who and what we are, what we stand for whilst also helping those less fortunate.”
