Mahindra has launched the new Mahindra Imperio pick-up in Sri Lanka through authorised distributors, Ideal Motors Ltd. It is priced from Rs. 3,495,000.
The Imperio is the top-end double cab VX variant, which is equipped with a 4-step air conditioning system, power steering, fabric seat upholstery, 16 inch steel rims with wheel covers shod by tubeless tires and Power/Eco drive modes.
The exterior has a new face, featuring a ‘toothed-grille’ with silver trim, updated bumper design, redesigned headlamps and circular foglamps. The side and rear profiles of the pickup are nearly identical to that of the outgoing Genio.
Inside, the Imperio features a 4-step air conditioning system, power steering and fabric seat upholstery.
Under the hood is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder mDI CRDe diesel engine with 75 hp at 3,200 rpm and 220 Nm of peak torque at 1,400-2200 rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels.
