LAUGFS Car Care launches state-of-the-art Hybrid Centre in Battaramulla

LAUGFS Car Care, a sub-division of LAUGFS Lubricants, recently announced the launch of a state-of-the-art Hybrid Centre at Koswatta, Battaramulla, to cater to the diverse vehicle needs of Hybrid and Electric motor vehicle owners.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the opening of our new Hybrid Center, the latest addition to our network of service centres, which will be uniquely equipped to cater to the many requirements of hybrid and electric vehicle owners,” remarked LAUGFS Lubricants Director/CEO, Dr. Gamini Amarasekara, commenting at the launch ceremony. “As a Sri Lankan conglomerate, LAUGFS has always operated with a strong focus on integrating and supporting sustainable and eco-friendly solutions across its businesses. This is reflected from our very first operations in Autogas conversion for motor vehicles, as a more eco-friendly alternative for conventional fuels, to our present day businesses such as Eco Sri, which carries out vehicle emission testing that is critical for air quality management. Our latest Hybrid Centre is one of the many outcomes of this commitment, where we have extended our service portfolio to support the growing number of new generation hybrid and electric motor vehicles, which we believe will help pave the way for a greener and cleaner future,” he added.

Hybrid and Electric vehicles have been growing in popularity in the recent years and the new facility at Battaramulla will serve as a total solution centre for all hybrid and electric vehicles. It offers a range of specialised services from hybrid battery service, repair and replacements, to other maintenance services. Equipped with the latest advanced technology, the centre offers services of a team of experienced and qualified technicians, assuring expert workmanship.

“This Hybrid Centre will offer an expansive portfolio of services deploying the latest technology specially dedicated to hybrid and electric vehicles. These will range from complete computer diagnostic tests and high voltage system scanning and diagnostics to battery power and energy tests. A special bay for wheel alignment has also been built with the use of Italian technology for guaranteed service and enhanced accuracy,” Dr. Amarasekara further elaborated.

A customer raffle draw was held on the day of the Hybrid Centre launch, with full detailing, exterior detailing and interior detailing packages given away for lucky winners. A number of discount promotions were also carried out during the day, with complete Diagnostic Tests including Hybrid and Auxiliary Battery tests being awarded free of charge for lucky customers.
