Douglas and Sons Ltd. (DSL) conducted ‘Hankook Perfect Drive’ mobile advisory campaign to educate motorists on regular tyre care and maintenance. The event was held for two days at the car parks of Nugegoda Public Super Market, Arcade Independence Square, Ja-Ela K-Zone and at Gampaha Public car park. DSL provided free check-up on tyres of vehicles parked at these locations.
The team of experts from DSL educated drivers on the maintenance of tyres including how to check tyre pressure, age, tread, depth and visual external damage and also the importance of timely tyre rotation and proper alignment. Every participant was provided with a personalised tyre care consultation, along with guidance on how to select the correct tyre suitable for his/her vehicle. A free giveaway along with a voucher for 10% discount was given to all participants.
As the only part of a car in contact with the road surface, the tyre is the most important component of safe and efficient drive. Regular tyre checks are critical for safe driving, especially before and after long drives. DSL and Hankook jointly provided the complete tyre check-up service at this campaign.
