Assessing the future growth potential in the Sri Lankan passenger car market, DIMO has expanded the existing network of Tata Motors sales touch points around the island with new 3S facility (Sales, Service, Spare Parts) and has taken the lead to invest in key strategic locations to commence three exclusive Tata Passenger Cars showrooms in Sri Lanka, taking the network strength to over 40 touch points.
As the stepping stone, Negombo, Colombo and Kalutara showrooms were inaugurated on 13 and 14 October to offer the best purchase experience to its valued customers. The Negombo showroom is located at No. 258, Chilaw Road, Periyamulla while the Kalutara Showroom is located at No. 768, Galle Road, Karukurunda.
Speaking at the inauguration, DIMO Chairman and Managing Director Ranjith Pandithage said, “We are committed to take the passenger car business to greater heights. Our valued customers will now have the benefits of a wider and modern network, which will witness further and continuous growth.” Inaugurating the Negombo showroom, Tata Motors International Business, Passenger Vehicles Head Johnny Oommen said, “We are delighted with the increasing reach of Tata Motors in Sri Lanka and also to be part of this auspicious opening. This inauguration is the first major step in our expansion and development plans for the passenger vehicle market in Sri Lanka.”
These modern and exclusive showrooms have an average area of 1,500 sq. ft. allowing ample space to display five to six vehicles for the customers to comfortably experience the growing portfolio of Tata passenger vehicles and select the vehicle of their choice. Followed by a series of training sessions and workshops on the product and customer care, DIMO staff is lined up at each strategic location to provide a speedy service while building long term customer relationships.
DIMO’s extensive network expansion strategy in Sri Lanka for Tata Passenger Cars will be backed up with the renowned after sales service offerings with two years/50,000 km warranty, three labour free services, 24 hour road side assistance, island-wide network coverage for sales, service and spare parts and Tata genuine accessories providing as superlative customer experience.
Tata Motors began their international operations with Sri Lanka in 1961 in association with their only authorised distribution partner, Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), and has established a firm footprint with its commercial and passenger vehicles. Sri Lanka has been an important focus market for Tata Motors with its varied range offering superior value to its customers. The passenger vehicles portfolio, which started in 2004, includes the Indica, Indigo, Vista, Manza, Safari, Zest, Bolt and Nano.
